Press Release: Solo Bread Opens Second Site with Bakery Move to Brimstage Hall & Courtyard

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BIRKENHEAD, UK - Solo Bread, named one of Britain’s Best Bakeries for 2026, is moving production to a barn conversion in Brimstage Hall & Courtyard, opening at 10:00 Saturday 19th of September. The new site, including a shop counter, allows increased production capacity to meet growing demand as well as being its second customer facing location on the Wirral.

“We’re excited to move into a bigger space that was custom-built for our baking operations here at Brimstage,” said owner Harry Doherty. “With more space, we will have the scope to keep improving the quality of what we do, with plans to mill our own flour using grain from the local area. I have a lot more exciting things planned and some surprises to come.”

The bakery move to Brimstage follows the success of the first retail shop at 220 Bebington Road in May where the customer base continues to grow with the shop now opening Wednesday to Sunday 8:30 to 14:00.

Customers can expect a range of naturally fermented sourdough loaves, buns, seasonal pastries, all made with the same focus on organic grain, slow fermentation, and carefully sourced ingredients that earned Solo Bread its national recognition.

The new bakery and shop will be up and running from 19th September. The shop counter will initially open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00 with plans to expand as the business continues to grow. “We want to start slow to make sure we’re giving the best products and service to our customers whilst we settle into our new surroundings,” Harry said. “From there, we’ll grow based on what the community wants.”
